Rohit Sharma won the batting award in the Ahmedabad Test which ended in two days. The Indian opener has risen to the eighth position in his career in the ICC Test batsmen’s rankings. Off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin has taken the top three spot in great bowling.

The ICC released the rankings on Sunday after the third Test of the India-England series, which ended last Thursday. Rohit top-scored for India with six runs in the first innings of the day-night Test in Ahmedabad.

He was unbeaten on 25 in the second innings to win the match by 10 wickets. He has advanced 6 steps in the ranking. 842 rating points is also the best of this batsman. His previous best in 2019 was 622 rating points and 10th place.
