According to the India Times, Vijay Ranga, in collaboration with People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA), filed an FIR alleging rape of an animal-loving cooker. After that the police took action.
According to PETA, the accused has been accused of sexually abusing dogs more than once in the past.
A case has been registered against the man under Section 37 (rape of animals by humans) of the Indian Penal Code. If convicted, he could face up to 10 years in prison.
