Turn off the computer to install the update?

After a few days, Windows takes the necessary updates. Unbeknownst to you, Windows automatically updates, and when you turn off the computer, Windows updates are installed. It’s a waste of time, just as annoying. If you want, you can turn off the computer without installing the update.

How to understand

This problem is more common with Windows 7. If you see an orange shield warning icon in front of the Shutdown text in the Start menu when the computer shuts down, click on it to install the update, and then the computer will shut down. There are several ways to stop this.

Whatever you do

Before rushing off the computer after work, make sure that there is an orange icon next to the shutdown. Do not click on it when seen. After installing the updates, the computer will shut down.

Alternatively, the computer can be turned off. So if you see that, come to the desktop by pressing Windows Key + D. Now press the Alt + F4 key on the keyboard together. A new Shut Down Windows dialog box appears. Select Shut down from the pull-down menu here and press OK.

You can turn off the computer in another way. To do this, press the Windows key + L key when the update icon appears on the shutdown button. Click on the arrow next to the power icon in the bottom right corner to get more options. From here, just click on the Shutdown option and the computer will shut down without installing the update.

In addition, you can turn off the computer more quickly if you want by running a shutdown command at the command prompt. To do this, press Windows key + R to run.

Type cmd here and press enter. When the command prompt is opened, type shutdown / s / f / t0 (the last word is zero) and press enter, the computer will shut down quickly.
