Movie Review – Me Before You (Where Love Never Dies)

Jojo Moyes is a well-known romantic novelist. In 2012, producer Michael Weber announced that his novel Me Before You would be turned into a movie in 2013. Movie Review Where Love Never Dies
The film, which was released on May 23 this year, was directed by Thea Shark. It is the director’s first film.

The 110-minute film revolves around William Trainer, the son of an aristocratic family who has paralyzed in a road accident three years ago. Meanwhile, he was on the verge of death due to an accident. Only six months left. Meanwhile, his mother fixes Louisa Clark to look after William. Even so, William can’t stand Louisa at first because she doesn’t like the fact that she can’t walk.

William doesn’t want anyone to help him. But gradually William fell in love with Louiser’s care and madness. As William rushes to his death, his mother wants him to die with joy. So his mother wants to send his son to Switzerland. But William does not agree. How did Louisa find out? And that’s what Louisa takes as a challenge.

In this wonderful film, William is played by Shyam Clafin, whom we are used to seeing in action series like Hunger Games, The Huntsman, Pirates of the Caribbean.

This is Shyam’s second romantic film after ‘Love, Rosie’ released in 2014. Louisa is played by Emilia Clarke, who often plays in different genres. So in a way, Emilia is also the first romantic film. I like Shyam’s performance as William. A crippled character is beautifully portrayed. On the other hand, Emilia’s performance as Louisa is also eye-catching.

His fickle behavior, as well as the care and affection of William, etc. will remain in the eyes of the viewer for a long time. Apart from this, the performance of other characters was also like getting ten out of ten.

Another thing to mention in the film is the background music. I especially like the song titled ‘Photograph’ by Ed Sharon.

The  20 million budget film has so far grossed about ৮ 185 million.
