Gmail hacking is on the rise. Especially Gmail which has a YouTube channel, Facebook account, etc. Gmail is being hacked more.

We also exchange a lot of personal information through our Gmail. If our Gmail is hacked, we can do a lot of damage. So let’s find out how to keep Gmail secure.

How to find out if your Gmail account has been hacked:

In October 2019, Google launched the “Google Password Checkup” add-on in their Chrome Web Store. If you want, you can use this tool to find out if your email has ever been hacked.

How to use:
1. First you need to download the Google Password Check-Up Extension from the Chrome Web Store.
2. If you have a Gmail Already login in your browser, it will be an automatic login in Tools. And if you do not have a login, then login with your Gmail and password.
3. If your username and password match 400 to 500 million hacked emails in Google’s database, the extension will alert you.

It will also tell you from which websites your e-mail has been hacked.

If you do not like this extension of Google Chrome, you can find out if your email has been hacked from the “Have I Been Pwned” website. But in my opinion, Google is the best.

What to do if your Gmail account is hacked:

1. If your username, password, or email name matches the hacked ones, quickly change your Gmail password.
2. Not only Gmail, but also the passwords of all the places where your Gmail has been added.
3. You must use a strong password in your Gmail. Do not use the password used in Gmail anywhere else.
4. Also, turn on two-factor authentication in Gmail. This will add extra security to your Gmail.
5. Add a recovery mobile number or email to your Gmail. Don’t tell anyone.

You must manage a YouTube channel by adding a separate email to YouTube. Always keep the original email of your YouTube account hidden. If your YouTube channel is hacked, it will take one day to remove the hacker from your admin email.

Within that one day, you will be able to take the permission of your account into your own hands. Gmail hacking
